Most of the arrangers in this book are younger composers just starting out. Many of them also contributed to Gospel Gold: Sacred Treasures for Piano, Simply Beautiful, and Music of the Masters for the Master. I didn’t like the arrangements in this book as much as I did Gospel Gold, Vol. 2 or Simply Beautiful. Too many of them seem like run of the mill arrangements that didn’t make the cut in another book. There are a few exceptions, of course. I did very much like James Koert’s rhythmic version of “Come, Thou Fount”. And my favorite work from this book is Pamela M. Robertson’s “Lead On, O King Eternal”.
