JAN 4th 2016 ADDENDUM: CONCERNING COLORS AND FABRIC!!!Since August 2015 I've purchased every color available on Amazon because I love these pants that much. There have been much confusion over the colors and type of fabrics these pants come in and I will address them both below and in two pictures I have put up in the customer product image gallery section .1- About Fabrics: The thicker fabric version pants are Waterproofed treated. The ALPHA KHAKI ON-THE-GO tags for the thicker pants says 'with WATER REPELLENCY'. The thin fabric version pants don't have this on their tags. The Waterproofed pants will keep your legs, pocket contents and socks dry in a rain shower as the fabric beads water off instead of soaking water thru. Levi's used to make similar Commuter jeans with the same medium-light weight stretchy and waterproofed fabric that were marketed towards bicyclists, commuters and bike messengers. The thicker fabric is not denim-jeans thick as some reviewers have said. It is a medium-light weight khaki thick compared to the light weight fabric pants. Both types of the thicker and thinner fabrics are the exact same 98% cotton with 2% spandex. So the thicker fabric is just as stretchy, moisture wicking and comfortable as the thinner fabric pants. The only difference is the thicker pants will not wrinkle as easy and will feel less smooth under your finger tips even thought the fit and wear-feel is the same. The thicker waterproofed pants are a newer edition to the thinner pants since the Light Buff, Chicory and Olive Moss are the thin-fabric pants that debuted early Spring 2015 while the thicker-fabric Caramel, Bank Red, Burma Grey and Eclipse colors came out in the later Summer 2015.2- About the colors: The image that show orange-red color pants are called 'Mark B/Night Watch Blue' on Amazon but it is not blue at all! In fact they are called 'Bank Red' on the Dockers website and are exactly like the orange-red pants in the pictures. Caramel Khaki and Toasted Cardamon are literally same color.--------->Original Review below:When I tried these on at my local Macy's I thought they would be GREAT hiking pants! They have a stretchy durable water repelling/quick drying fabric, with hidden cargo pockets, hidden draw cords, and zippered back pockets. However once I bought them I realized they were too nice looking to get dirty on the trail so I've been wearing them around town all summer.I got all three colors but the Light Buff is my most worn and favorite of the lot. Simply because it goes with more of the lighter pastel colors that I wear during the summer. The army green and blue grey colors can work in the Autumn, post-Labor Day, season. If you like the traditional rigid cotton Khaki's that fit baggy and loose then you won't like these pants at all. If you wear a lot of slim/skinny jeans and you normally hate Khakis then you would love these. The sad thing is Dockers tend to release a great item and never release them again. So I am back here to buy another one of these in all the colors.Reason being is the thinness of the fabric makes me suspicious that these Alphas On The Go won't last long especially since I'm wearing them every chance I get. They fit really great.Just remember DO NOT wash these like you do your regular cotton Khakis. NO hot water, NO fabric softeners, NO bleach, NO hot dry!!!!Use only ice cold wash with powdered detergents. Don't use fabric softeners and do either a cool tumble dry of a hang line dry to get the best life span out of the fabric.
